"Teaching Nature Awareness and Stewardship"

"Never a day passes but that I do myself the honor
to commune with some of natures varied forms."

-- George Washington Carver

Bear Bag

We don't know if these photos are real or not.  But there are confirmed instances of bears taking this action, and others, to get to a bear bag.

The photos show just how smart bears really are.  Using a bear bag or bear proof canisters are not all that needs to be done to be safe from bears and other critters when outdoors.  Unpleasant wildlife encounters are rare and generally not a concern when we act responsibly ourselves.
