"Teaching Nature Awareness and Stewardship"

July 2004

Nature Awareness Workshop
and Trainer course

The venue was at Iowa State campus during the National Order of the Arrow Conference (NOAC). Nine young men taught nature awareness and stewardship to approximately 2,500 youth and adults in the outdoors.  An additional 700 participated in indoor sessions provided by federal agency land managers and the Subaru Leave No Trace Traveling Trainers while 22 participants completed a Leave No Trace Trainer course.

Before activity got started.   Almost ready to start.  Charlie had a busy day.
Front of workshop area.  Setup took a few hours but was great during the rain, storms and sunny days.  Traveling Trainers.
A typical session.  We're finally ready to go.

 Our Mission:
Maintain access to public and private lands for recreation
through responsible use of the land and other natural resources.
