Leave No Trace Workshop
and Trainer Course

 
The workshop and Trainer course were held at Philmont Scout Ranch near Cimarron New Mexico.  The workshop staff was volunteers and federal land mangers.  They taught approximately 300 Philmont youth staff members.  Following the workshop 12 participants completed a Leave No Trace Trainer course.  Trained Philmont staff will teach approximately 22,000 participants throughout the summer. Course instructorss included the national Leave No Trace and Tread Lightly! coordinators for the Forest Service and Bureau of Land Management.
